Rathgen Research Laboratory
The Rathgen Research Laboratory of the Berlin State Museums is a scientific institute for the analysis of materials and the conservation of cultural artefacts. In its research it aims to ascertain the materials, age and authenticity of objects and to advise on the restoration and conservation of artworks. It was founded in 1888 as the Chemical Laboratory of the Royal Museums in Berlin.Schloßstr. 1A
